The following is a list of the sustainability initiatives that have been achieved in Eiber or are currently being developed:
- Eiber Elementary School Literacy Program (People): Neighborhood residents tutor elementary students in reading.
- Food Preservation Workshops (Land, People): Residents learn how to preserve garden produce using canning techniques.
- Resilience Circle (Land, People, Energy): Neighbors meet monthly for a potluck and discussion of a particular sustainability initiative.
- Bee Safe (Land, People): Residents distributed information on avoiding chemicals that are harmful to bees.
- Eiber Community Garden (Land, People): Neighbors coordinated with the City of Lakewood, Jeffco Schools, and Denver Urban Gardens to construct and maintain a garden at Eiber Elementary.
- Bike Eiber (Air, People): Residents advocated biking as a mode of transportation, developed the Bike Eiber blog, taught riders how to use the light rail with their bikes, and produced a neighborhood bicycle map.
- Skill Share Database (People): Neighbors will have the ability to list their skills on an online database and trade them for skills they need.
- Facebook Page (People): Facebook provides a platform for neighbors to keep up to date on sustainability efforts and become involved.
- Sustainable Living Discussion Group (Land, Water, Air, Energy, People): Neighbors attend monthly meetings to discuss climate change and ways to mitigate it on an individual scale.
- Neighborhood Heritage (Land, People): A database of neighborhood maps was created to allow analysis of development over the past 100 years.
